    Amritavarsham is a day Amma’s devotees from around the world look forward to each year. For them, celebrating Amma’s birth is an opportunity to gather in large numbers to show her their love and gratitude.

    Amma says that she doesn’t like to have a birthday celebration. But she agrees because it makes her children happy to join together in selfless service and prayers for world peace.

    Amma in Madurai – Highlights – Bharat Yatra 2025

    Amma’s visit to Madurai for the Brahmasthanam Mahotsavam was filled with devotion, spiritual energy, and heartfelt messages on humility, compassion, and selflessness. Thousands of devotees gathered for Amma’s darshan, marking her first visit to the city in several years.

    During her satsang, Amma emphasized the importance of awareness, love, and humility in life. She spoke about the need for cooperation, companionship, and communion with fellow human beings, with nature, and with the divine. She reminded everyone that true friendship is built on embracing disagreements and criticism with an open heart and that compassion is not a luxury but a necessity for society’s survival. When love fills the heart, flowers of peace will blossom around us, Amma said.

    The event included meditation, bhajans, and darshan, with Amma personally embracing each devotee. Clothing and financial assistance were distributed to Amrita SREE self-help group members, supporting their journey toward self-reliance.

Amma’s satsang, meditation, and bhajans filled the night with devotion, and she personally embraced each devotee until the early hours.
