    Rescued by Amma, Athira has now dedicated her life to helping rescue others who are suffering. Amma conducted the marriage of Athira to Sandeep in Amritapuri, where both of them work at AMMACHI Labs. Shedding tears of joy, Amma said Sandeep has a heart filled with compassion for accepting Athira into his life.

    Athira came under Amma’s care when she was 15. Her father, an alcoholic, passed away, and her mother was severely mentally ill and had epilepsy. Amma gave Athira and her sister a home in the Ashram’s orphanage in Paripally, Kerala.
