Transform our life into Siva – Sivaratri Celebrations 2022 at Amritapuri Ashram – Highlights
Keeping awake is symbolic of the kind of awareness and oneness of purpose that a spiritual aspirant needs to reach the goal. He cannot afford to be slack even for a moment.
Shiva is the Supreme Consciousness that illuminates the three states of waking, dreaming and deep sleep. Offering the threefold Bilwa leaves to the Shivalinga heralds the return to a level of consciousness beyond the three states, which is the fourth state, Turiya. The dawning of that state is consonant with the awakening of the individual.

Renowned #Ayurveda Physician Padma Bhushan Shri. P.K. Warrier is no more. The entire #Amrita family pays tribute to vaidyaratnam P. K. Warrier. He had a deep connection with Amma

Amma, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi remembers Swami Prakashananda of Sivagiri Math
Swami #Prakasananda was a beacon of light in our spiritual and social spheres. With his samadhi, we have lost a social-reformer and a noble and ascetic saint. He followed the path of Gurudevan, filled with self-sacrificing intellect. Whenever he had to raise his voice against iniquity and injustice, Swami fearlessly did so. I used to see Swamiji once in a while throughout the year. I still remember Swamiji’s pure smile. Let us lovingly remember the soul of the pious, selfless and generous Swami on this occasion where his spirit unites with the Supreme Power. May his life inspire everyone. The light ignited by Gurudevan passed through Swamiji. May others be able to keep that light alive. May grace bless you all.

Kartika Puja Highlights – February 19, 2021 – Amritapuri Ashram
A monthly birthday is traditionally observed in India based on the moon’s position at the time of birth. The moon returns to this spot in the heavens, approximately every 28 days. Karthika is the Nakshatra – star constellation- in which the moon was transiting at the time of Amma’s birth. As such every month on the day of Karthika, we honor Amma’s birth with a puja.
